Photojournalism
I truly believe that a photo is worth a thousand words. However, that only applies if the photo is telling a story. Below, you'll see some photographs I've taken over the past four years. Most of my photography consists of quick iPhone snapshots. I haven't yet mastered the skill of capturing a story in an image--that said, I still try.
Miscellaneous Photography:
The following photographs have been taken by me around school. They cover a variety of subjects. Each has either been used on The Gator's Eye or contributed to my own knowledge and understanding of photography.

I took this photograph of Kernick in front of his giant mural as he works. The progress shot is bold and he stands out from the colorful background.

This photo is from freshman year, where I photographed students the morning of Spirit Week. "Pajama Day" led to a group of gator onesies!

The student section chants during our Homecoming football game while our "Gator Goonies" lead them together.

Sports Photography:
One of my favorite things about being involved with my school newspaper is how I'm constantly developing new skills. These tennis photos were taken recently and stand as my first experience photographing sports. It was definitely a challenging process, as I didn't expect how quickly I'd have to react to capture the ball. And editing was equally challenging--after much experimenting, I think I got some good shots! These photos are captioned exactly as they are on our actual site.
